Our Vision

As our project’s aspirations, engagement, and resources have grown, so has our ability to give back to the community. It is our belief that as a collegiate engineering organization we can make the greatest social impact by working with local educators. We have formed a community outreach team dedicated to inspiring youth and promoting the STEM fields by sharing our love of rocketry and engineering.

Our Action

In the five academic years since the community outreach program began, we have held over a dozen events including several visits to local schools. When visiting schools, we enjoy talking to the students about rocket engineering and our lives as UCLA engineers before building and launching small 3D-printed rockets with them. We have also hosted on-campus events where students join us at UCLA to be inspired by rocket engineering; and have collaborated with Girl Scouts, Bruin Partners, IEEE WATT, and SWE.
